Description

The genuine Tekonsha Prodigy P3 is an in-cab proportional brake controller for caravans and trailers. Its inertia sensor detects the tow vehicle's deceleration and varies trailer braking accordingly. The sensor levels automatically and adjusts as you travel up or down hills, without manual levelling.

This is a hardwired controller, not a wireless or Bluetooth unit. The included harness plugs into the controller and has four bare-ended wires for connection to the vehicle wiring; it is not a complete vehicle wiring loom or a vehicle-specific plug-to-plug adapter. The controller can be unplugged and removed from its quick-release pocket mount for storage.

Before towing, select Electric or Hydraulic mode to match the trailer's electric or electric-over-hydraulic brakes, then set the braking power using the procedure in the attached instructions. Power and Boost settings may need adjustment when the trailer load or road conditions change.
