    Our Comments

While we sell a lot of these because the price is very competitive and many of our competitors sell this brand they are not recommended by Coast to Coast who import the Suburban HWS. This is due to the thread being BSP instead of NPT, which has a different pitch.

We have been selling this product for several years now. These are popular with our customers and we sell a number per week. We try to keep plenty on our shelves for quick delivery.

    George from TAS - 03 Feb 2014
The anode ordered was not the correct one for my heater, but was not your fault as I had assumed it would fit ! On contacting your department I was advised to return it with no further commitment, it was a pleasure to find such assistance and support as well as advice regarding my type of heater. Look forward in dealing with you in the future. Rgds Robert

We shortened it dramatically and it now lives in the oil cooler area of a Cummins ISX. If it works as we expect it will save us approx $1500 every two years.
    Alec from WA - 17 Nov 2013

Easy to install and very happy with the product. My caravan is a Compass Limited Edition.
    Kevin from QLD - 08 Dec 2012
I purchased this item as a replacement for current rod. This one I found was too long to complete the job, but as suggested, I cut the new rod to size and fitted it to the hot water unit. I have the tools to complete the job and would advise other customers to purchase the correct socket and not just rely on the old trusty shifter.

Great Product & Advice Re Fitting Over the phone.
    John & glenis from QLD - 11 Sep 2012
We puchased a magnesium sacrificial anode for the hotwater unit in our Jayco caravan. Removal and Installation was as easy as removing a screw top from a bottle, but you do need the correct size socket.
    Reinhold from SA - 07 Jul 2012
Had never changed the anode before, searched around locally but over priced and not as long as this one. Easy fit, very happy
    Russell from NSW - 22 May 2012
This product was exactly what I ordered.
    Daryll from NSW - 02 Apr 2012
We found the product was of excellent quality. Better than other anodes we have seen previously - longer and therefore should last longer. The anode was easy to install in our Jayco Heritage hot water system.
    Beverley from NSW - 12 Feb 2012
As a caravan park manager I have been made aware of the danger involved with not replacing the anode at least annually. With the complete unit around $1000 or more it was worrying to see units thrown out because of this lack of knowledge. NPT, national pipe thread is American. I beleive it is cheap insurance for anybody to not only change the anode annually but also carry a spare. Manganese wont last as long as aluminium, but as a sacrificial substance for electrolises, why would you want it to. Stand corrected if necessary. Suburban should know best, not because a locally made alterative is more profitable. I like your site that explains things even if we may disagree occasionally. I have heard that the mineral content, especially in remote areas like Karratha, eg calcium can almost turn the tank water when heated into an electrolite as in a battery. Why not use the best, mangaese.
