This SHURflo in-line non-return valve allows water to flow in one direction, helping prevent it draining back through a pump line when the pump stops. Its barbed ends fit into flexible hose and are secured with correctly sized hose clamps; they are not 12 mm OD push-on tube connections.
Install with the moulded arrow pointing in the direction of flow. Do not use the valve for water heaters or with liquids containing particulate matter.
The spare part was delivered reasonably quickly and since installation, works a treat!! The cost of the item and delivery was also cheaper than if I had ordered directly from the manufacturer’s retail outlet.
