When it comes to selecting a bike rack there are a lot of options available but narrowing down which will work best for your setup is a simple process. With a range of mounting options you just need to decide which will give you the easiest access while not getting in the way.

Car / Tow-ball Mounted Bike Racks

Car mounted racks are a convenient option which allows you to take your bikes wherever you go, even while you're not towing your van.

The Quick Fit folding bike rack from Coast to Coast feature quick and easy fitting to almost all tow bars, and are also tiltable for easy access to car boot.

Front Drawbar / A-Frame Mounted Bike Racks

Front Drawbar or A-Frame mounted bike racks are a popular choice due to ease of installation and use. The newer models feature a pivoted action which allows access to the front storage boot without removing bikes. The main limitation of this style is that you need to have enough free space on the A-frame for mounting i.e clear of gas bottles or jockey wheels. The other consideration is they will only hold 2 bikes.

Fiamma XL-A Carry Bike Rack

The Fiamma XL-A is a solid choice for those who need a straightforward, reliable rack. Designed to fit the caravan A-frame, it offers a tilt function (with bikes removed) for easy access to storage areas. With a capacity for 2 bikes and a 35kg weight limit, it's best suited for standard cycles. It is a customer favourite for its reliability and ease of use.

Thule Caravan Superb Bike Rack

This premium option from Thule supports heavier loads up to 60kg, making it ideal for e-bikes. It can accommodate 2 bikes with an optional extension for a third, ensuring versatility. The Thule Caravan Superb's standout feature is its ability to tilt with bikes attached, providing unparalleled convenience for accessing the caravan's front storage without the need to unload the bikes first.

Thule Caravan Light Bike Rack

The Thule Caravan Light, also for the A-frame, is the lightest option, designed for those who prioritise weight savings. Supporting 2 bikes with a 40kg total weight capacity, it offers a balance between strength and lightness more suited to lighter, non-electric bikes. Its tilt feature requires the bikes to be removed for access to the front boot.

Fiamma XL-A Pro 200 E-Bike Rack

Specially designed for e-bikes with a 50kg weight capacity, the XL-A Pro 200 features a tilt mechanism (with bikes attached), offering easy access to the caravan's storage areas. It's a solid e-bike option for A-frame mounting, balancing strength and convenience.

Rear Mounted Bike Racks

Rear-mounted options cater to a larger capacity of 2-4 bikes. Fiamma's range, including the Carry Bike Pro and Pro C, provides solutions tailored to caravans and motorhomes with varying rear configurations. These racks are favored for their capacity and the flexibility of installation on vehicles with or without rear windows.

Fiamma Carry Bike Pro

For those without a rear window and needing a full-height, sturdy solution, the Fiamma Carry Bike Pro offers a rear-mounted option supporting up to 60kg across 2 to 4 bikes. Its robust design and capacity make it suitable for larger bike loads, though like its siblings, it's not e-bike compatible.

Fiamma Carry Bike Pro C

Fiamma's Pro C model is the most compact rear-mounted rack, perfect for RVs with a rear window. Accommodating 2 bikes (expandable to 4) and supporting up to 60kg, it's designed for those who need to consider rear window clearance without sacrificing bike carrying capability. However, it's not suitable for e-bikes, focusing on traditional bikes within a high weight limit.

Fiamma Carry Bike Pro C (E-bike)

This variant of the Pro C model caters specifically to e-bike owners, supporting up to 60kg for 2 bikes. It maintains the compact design suitable for RVs with rear windows, combining e-bike compatibility with a space-saving form factor.

Thule Elite G2 Short Rear Bike Rack

The Elite G2 Short offers a compact design for rear window considerations, supporting 60kg for up to 4 bikes. Like the Fiamma Pro C (E-bike), it's suitable for e-bikes, providing a balance between compact design and high weight capacity for those needing rear-mounted solutions.

Roof Mounted Racks

Another option is a roof mounted bike rack, which could be used on either your car or camper trailers roof rack.

While mounting on your vehicles roof means you can take your bikes even when you aren't towing, lifting the bikes up and down can make this an impractical option.

Mounting on your camper roof will make accessing the bikes much easier, however they will need to removed before setting up at each stop.
